MAHE Dubai Students Shine Bright at the Latest ASCE Student Chapter in Dubai

Apart from being an institution of educational excellence, MAHE-Dubai is focused on the overall development of its students, so that they can bag prestigious placements and be well-equipped to thrive in today’s competitive environment. To ensure maximum exposure for its students, the University has various tie-ups and collaborations and encourages its students to participate in various international competitions, one of them being ASCE competitions through its Dubai chapter.

The ASCE Win by MAHE-Dubai

Recently, a team of students from the MAHE-Dubai Engineering School took part in the Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at the American University campus in Dubai. The team performed exceptionally well in 4 ASCE competition categories, bagging multiple awards for the Institute.

The ASCE competition was held on 16th November 2019. The event saw 18 teams from the MAHE Dubai campus, comprising 26 students, compete with 170+ students from universities such as The American University in Dubai, The American University of Sharjah, Abu Dhabi University, American University of Ras Al Khaimah, University of Sharjah, Amity University, University of Wollongong in Dubai, etc.

The ASCE or the American Society of Civil Engineers was founded in 1852 and is one of the oldest organisations of civil engineers scattered across the world. The organisation boasts of 150,000+ members and runs hundreds of student chapters in various countries to support the growth of students as future civil engineers.

ASCE membership is free for students and gives them the benefit of being a part of a global student community with exciting workshops, discourses and competitions to groom them professionally and academically.
